Today, I spent way too much money (honestly, it's a bit painful) buying home studio gear. I worked with the good folk over at Sweetwater to order a system that had better hold me for quite some time. Sweet's a bit more expensive than I would have liked (and I know that I could have gotten things cheaper), but they have good support and will do all the configuration stuff for me.
Here's what I got:
I'm probably going to go back and add a set of mid-range monitors (probably Mackie 624s), but that should just about do it.
Here's to hoping that I figure this out and didn't just waste a crapload of cash...
